Home!

I am back in the wonderful state of Kentucky! What more can I say...I am happy. And I am glad I am back in a place where everybody understands that not the whole state of KY likes UK, some of us do like UofL.
When Gardner-Webb beat UK in basketball, people at school kept joking on me. I try to explain, Louisville people for the most part don't like KY. Actually one of my high school friends messaged me saying thank you for going to Gardner-Webb. Only because they beat UK.
The best way to explain this to North Carolina kids is..."it's just like Duke and UNC, they are in the same state, but not everybody supports just one of them. Some support Duke, others support UNC." after I said that most of those kids got it. But it's kinda sad...a few of the kids I've meet have never left that state, some not even getting very far from the county my college is in; that county, well it's biggest town is Shelby, which is 15-20 minutes away from Gardner-Webb, and it has a population of about 5,000...I think. Might have been smaller. I'll have to double check that for y'all.
But again, I am very happy to be back in the 'Ville, and I don't know if I will post anything while I am here...we shall see.

P.S. If I don't get the chance...
Merry Christmas!

My Tentative Schedule

Because I felt like informing the masses…here is my tentative schedule for next semester. But it might change…I feel though I will end up taking all of these classes. Since I either need them for core credit or for my major. Well except Applied Theatre…

Monday Wednesday Friday Schedule
Fund/Statistics & Probability Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10:00-10:50a.m.
Intermediate ASL II Monday/Wednesday/Friday 11:00-11:50a.m.
Intermediate ASL II Lab Friday 2:00-2:50

Tuesday Thursday Schedule
Dimensions 9:25-10:15
Deaf Culture Tuesday/Thursday 10:25-11:40a.m.
Composition II Honors Tuesday/Thursday 11:50-1:05pm
Dimension Personal Health/Honors 1:15-2:30pm

Miscellaneous…
Applied Theatre, applied theatre is an odd class, in the fact that it’s only worth one credit hour, yet I will probably do the most amount of work in that class. Also pretty cool, we only meet once at the beginning of the semester to deicide what everybody will be working on for the rest of the semester. As long as I help out with one of the productions next semester…it will be an easy A. Basically I will do the same thing I did last semester, (volunteering in the tech work behind the scenes) but receive school credit for it. Since I am thinking about doing a theatre minor, that will work out wonderfully. I think I might try to stick up some pictures of Martyr on here…

Miss y’all greatly,
Joannis

New Picture

As I changed the background from the classic orange, I decided to change my profile picture to match the title of my blog. Which by the way, the title was inspired by my love of all things orange, and watching way to much Blue’s Clue’s, in Blue’s Clue’s Steve could figure out any problem in the thinking chair. I do not remember the color of Steve’s chair, but I decided if I ever had a thinking chair mine would most certainly be orange.
I found this nifty chair and with it came some cool info about it…and note if you want a chair just like it…it will cost you the wonderful price of $475.00. Yeah, I know what I will not be getting for Christmas. Don’t worry mom, I don’t mind, I don’t think I would buy for myself either, even if I had enough money.

Jacobsen series 7 chair. During the 1950s and 1960s, Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen created some of the most famous and sought-after chairs of the 20th century. Although best known for such adult chairs as the 'swan' and the 'egg,' Jacobsen was one of the few designers to focus specifically on creating child-scale furniture and to consider the potential benefits of applying new design philosophies in school and child-care settings. One of his most successful chairs, the Series 7, is again available from Fritz Hansen, the original manufacturer, with the original specifications. The striking form is made in laminated plywood on a tubular metal frame.
